تلقى رئيس “الحزب التقدمي الاشتراكي” وليد جنبلاط شهادة “تقدير وشرف” من “المحفل الماسوني الأكبر” في نيويورك، “تقديراً لدوره وجهوده كرجل دولة حقيقي في أصعب الظروف التي مرّ ويمرّ بها لبنان”.
وأشارت شهادة التقدير إلى “الصفات الحازمة للتفاهم والخدمة والرحمة التي أظهرها من خلال تقديمه التعليمي والتطوعي للخدمة لإخواننا في منطقة المحفل الكبير لسوريا ولبنان، والذي يحتفظ به في ظل المحفل الماسوني الكبير للماسونيين الأحرار والمقبولين في ولاية نيويورك، يأتي بسهولة من قلبه الدافئ والفرح والسخي”.
واستقبل جنبلاط، في دارته في كليمنصو، رئيس “المحفل الأكبر للبنائين الأحرار والمقبولين في لبنان” رافي تيمونيان، الذي سلّمه شهادة التقدير والشرف من “المحفل الأكبر للبّنائين في نيويورك”، وقّعها رئيس المحفل ريتشارد شولتز.

The resolute qualities of understanding, service, and compassion demonstrated through his didactic and voluntary offering of service to our fellow brothers of the District Grand Lodge of Syria-Lebanon, holding under the grand lodge of free and accepted Masons of the State of New York, come easily from his warm, joyful and generous heart.
The humanitarian Albert Schweitzer has aptly said, “Example is not the main thing in influencing others. It is the only thing”. With much gratitude and heartfelt appreciation, we delight in the good works performed by this kind and devoted servant and Statesman.
